The Dish 811 comes with an UHF only remote. The receiver will work with either UHF or IR.

To get the IR's you can either get an older UHF/IR remote combingation, such as is sold with the Dish 6000 receiver.. OR

You can download one of the CCF files that has a Dish 6000 and those IR's will work with your Dish 811.
