Philips could save a lot more on Battery if they
would NOT turn on the backlight (make it an option
at least) everytime a hard key is pressed. The
back light isn't needed to adjust the volume or
change channels... and those buttons are used
a lot on my unit.
In the setup, move the "light level" all the way to the left. Now the backlight won't turn on when you press any key (soft or hard). If you want to use the backlight just turn it on with the backlight button on the left side of the remote.
