I am currently using the firmware upgrade with marginal success.

I’ve got two TSU7000s with a huge pcf on it and it seems to be working great. But some of the newer clients are reporting “dead” Prontos with the upgrade installed. These pcfs are very small in comparison, simple and straightforward. It has happened twice in front of a customer but a second clean zap of the firmware seems to be holding.

Flashing the firmware seems to work fine but when I update the Pronto often it seems to lock-up. One of my last practices is to clean zap the firmware when my program is finalized and then download the new pcf.

The new version of the PPE is incredible. It has solved most of my major gripes (bombs and corrupt files) and now I am able to open, once considered corrupt, files and continue programming.
