Happens to me all the time.

Someone (often a professional) wants to be really sure they will be ready for the device when it becomes available. So they prepare all the hex codes ahead of time, and ask questions about them.

Then something about the hex codes or the answers doesn't match their expectations, so they start talking about some problem with the hex code or answer as if they've tested something and it didn't work.

Often I get fooled and think something has already been tested. This time it seemed clearer that nothing had been tested yet, but I wasn't sure of that. When I'm not sure whether or not someting has been tested, I ask (as I did in this case).
