You can either use black electrical tape to cover the IR receiver of the sat box with a small pinhole in it. Place the emitter on top of the pin hole and sometimes put an opaque cover over the emitter. Or, place a 680-ohm .5 watt resistor in series with the positive lead of the emitter. This will reduce its output. Or, the third option is some emitters have a strong side and if reversed a weaker output side which can also help. I used the tape version and all my touchpanels and prontos work flawlessly, with the exception of the boxes being to sensitive and sometimes you get 55 if you hit 5, for example. This happens with the factory remotes and no IR receivers, emitters, etc.
