Has anyone else had a problem with using a pronto on a
directv box. The problem, and i will try to keep it short,
is that the IR control is sparadic. I have used a Phillips
RF Kit, and a Xantech IR Block. The problem is when i
have the emmiter over the IR sensor it doesnt work all
the time. If i move the emmiter halfway on and halfway
off it works a little better. However this is just a
bandaid solution because even with the emmiter shield
it likes to come undone and then i have to make a service
call to move an IR emmiter. Any help would be appreciated,
this happens with most of the recievers whether they are
DVR or HD or whatever. Thanks

Yeah its not so much that they keep falling off its the fact that it seems to be oversaturated. I tried adjusting the dip switches on the new RF block from low to high and even tried a 56k adapter I use to use on Cable boxes it just seems if it is directly on the box it seems to flood it and not work consistantly. I am thinking about trying different codes
