Pressing the same button twice does stop a macro from executing on my 3000 (using latest firmware). However, there appears to be a trick (read that anomaly) in getting it to do so. After pressing the button with the macro I have to wait about a half second or so, then press again (sometimes I have to press it 2 or 3 times in succession at this point). Eventually the macro does stop executing.
