I will be building a new PC in the near future and need to decide on an OS. I can go with XP PRO SP2 ($100, Full OEM) or with Vista. I'm aware there's other threads on this topic but are there any issues with Vista I should be aware of whether it's with ProntoPro Edit NG software or communication both ways (uploading, downloading) with the remote to the PC?

Would it be a mistake going with XP PRO now? I will likely want Vista Ultimate later on. In that case, can you do a clean install with an Upgrade package or do you need the Full Edition?
