I tried your suggestion re using B codes to the Marmitek X10 IR-RF7243U, unfortunately it only seems to respond to 'A' RF codes as generated by CodeGen. If you send B1 ON or any other, the receive light doesn't flash on the Marmitek and the light doesn't switch.
Your other suggestions are helpful, although they involve further capital investment :-)
I still cannot understand why my Pronto appears to learn the EasyControl 6 IR commands perfectly but the unit won't respond to my Pronto, while switching every time when I use the EasyControl remote...
Marmitek tech support have been as useful as the proverbial chocolate teapot...
Has anyone out there successfully learnt IR codes from an EasyControl remote using a Pronto RU990?
