Normally the condensed Pronto Hex you just quoted would mean the learning was perfect. Those signals ought to work as well or better than the long Pronto Hex strings in all situations. I don't have an explanation for the results seeming unresponsive.
What is on the action list of each button? You get best results from a Pronto Hex string only when it is the only action in the button's action list. Your symptoms might fit some of the minor timing problems you can get when there are multiple actions on the button's action list.
There is also a slight chance that the correct signal for your device is different from the standard signal represented by those condensed Pronto Hex strings. If you show me a few of the long Pronto Hex strings that you get from slightly imperfect learns, I may be able to determine whether the condensed strings are correct.
