I have given up trying to find discrete codes for my Panasonic TX32LXD60. The trouble is I just can't work out how to get it to a know configuration so that I can then go from there to put it in the state I want.

However, I thought of the idea of buying a divice which might switch the TV to a known state. I thought my SKY would do this through the Scart but it seems very spurious. If I switch off the SKY and back on then occasionally it seems to switch the TV to that input. Am I missing something?

I thought of buying the new Panasonic SAXR70 (in the UK) as my Sony DAVS500 is not true Scart as it comes out of the Sony as composite so won't switch the TV.

I am reluctant to buy another device that will not accept discrete codes. Anyone know about this unit? and will my idea of switching to a known state work?
