Wow. I bought a Torx # 6 ($1.99) and followed the instructions from post #230 (fransvdmb) for taking the Pronto apart, cleaned the touchscreen, poked a few holes with a needle, and I am back in business!!
Thank you remote central, and to the super smart folks who figure out how to solve our Pronto Problems -- Pronto!!
