I had the same problem. I beleave the fix was in removing some of the humidity in/on it. I did this by placing it in the frezer for just a few minutes wraped in a paper towel. I then took it out and wiped it down. At this point the screen buttons started to work again. I then placed the remove in a zip bag with a fresh paper towel. Its has not had the problem for several days now so it may be time to remove from the bag. Note: If you forget and leave it in the frezer too long the display will freze and will not show any of your buttons untill it warms up a bit. All I can say is that it worked for me. Let me know.
