Why do you want 802.11g support? The volume of data being sent to and from the iPronto is pretty minimal and you're not going to be browsing much in the way of feature rich sites on it.

I have an 802.11g access point at home and use 802.11g in my lappy but the iPronto seems more than happy connecting through the access point and the laptop talks to the iPronto perfectly.
