Hello,

I, too, have this problem -- every time new firmware is available, it takes WEEKS to finally gain access to the Philips site and get the "automatic" download. I start out with my Internet settings as they were from the last time, but inevitably, these settings result in either an error message, or worse, no acknowledgement whatsoever (the Philips logo screen shines brightly for days). So, I fool with the Internet settings (DHCP YES to NO and the second setting to AUTO or MANUAL or NONE). Eventually, after many, many reboots, some connection is finally made the yields a download. Frankly, I think the Philips server is so busy, it either doesn't respond or it sends back the unable to connect error message. So, I just keep hitting a "retry" button at the bottom of the iPronto. Ridiculous (even Bill Gates' cheaper [albeit as error-prone] stuff provides more instanteous downloading). So, unless someone else posts the holy grail for getting into Philips' server, I think you just need to keep on trying, and trying, and ....
