It takes about 5-10 minutes.
Have you tried a reset? Just push the button on the backside of your remote (pull the standard out first).
After your iPronto has started up again, check the connection first, before you try to upgrade the firmware again: Push and hold the scrollwheel for a while.Then tap on the status-tab and check if there's any signal. If "signal strength" completely white/blank then you have no connection.
