I see lots of comments that the iPronto talks to the net extender through the network. I claim that is false. I believe that the iPronto sends RF (when sending IR, not when locating the net extenders) using a protocol different than 802.11b UDP/IP. I say this bacuse if I put a packet sniffer on my network then the WAP should pick up the RF if it was in 802.11b standard protocol and I should be able to see the messages on the sniffer. That is the case when using the iProntoedit or the iPronto and it is initally looking for the NetX extenders.

Is there a knowledgeable person out there that can either verify what I am saying, or tell me what is really going on.
