Dear iPronto Users,

we have just released the new iPronto firmware
1.6.21

This new firmware is a large step forward for
the iPronto in terms of stability, reliability
and flexibility.

This software version went through a Beta test
cycle where a broad group tested the specific
improvements and stability of the firmware. Thanks
to several members from this forum. The main focus
of this upgrade is to bring the product to a level
so that it can be used in more complex installations
reliably.

To be able to offer the increased stability meant
that we had to remove the quarter view in the
remote under the 3rd soft button and replaced
it with an additional browser window.

The main area of improvements are:

•Faster and more stable user interface
•The network settings, which now ensure a reliable
and permanent network connection.

•Increased the allowable configuration file for
complex files from 4mb to 6MB XML.
•The browser software was improved and now offers
better error handling and the ability to use the
input fields in Java applets.

The above improvements combined with the others
listed on the following pages now make the iPronto
an even stronger candidate for installations that
require control using a larger screen and infotainment
such as EPG and internet.

Please be aware that a new iProntoEdit 2.3.2 is
needed to work with firmware version 1.6.21
