Thanks Daniel,

Unfortunatly no luck, I have "cannot connect to boot.prontophilips.com" or "network startup failed" loop. I now cannot start the machine at all :-(

I note that the PCMCIA network card indicator lamp flashes continuously, which if its like my laptop card means its not seeing a signal.

The clock icon has disapeared, guess thats normal.


Update : set flag to "no" allowed the machine to start on 10th try ! but still no network
