I've read through alot of the other listings regarding
problems with updating the latest version of the
IPronto software. Most are using a Linksys router
but I am using a DI-624 D-Link router. What's

The other problem is now the IPronto won't work

Just in case you ever need it, I found this one while looking through the iPronto site. Apparently (never tried it myself!) if you hold the "Channel Up" hard button down while resetting, it boots up into some sort of OS menu system or something. I believe that you can get it back to its basic setup through that, but as I say I'm not sure.
