As far as Crestron and Philips are concerned it might help to know the following:
1. Crestron have produced their own special verison of the ProntoPro called the MiniTouch. This ONLY uses RF to communicate with a Crestron RF receiver and hence communicate to a Crestron control processor. Crestron have their own software for programming their version of the ProntoPro and it does not have any IR capabilties at all. 2. Any universal IR remote control that can learn IR from a handset can be taught the Crestron IR codes. So it is possible to use any Pronto to control a Crestron system provided that it has a Crestron IR receiver. (actually this is true for AMX systems too)
