Thanks, Gosh, that is hopeful. Will it then run OK without "seeing" a WiFi connection? Will the EPG trying to load/update cause any probs?

I'd really like to be able to use this remote. The big screen should allow me to control my (fairly simple system--Hitachi HD CRT RP, Pioneer 9100 AV control receiver, DirecTV Hughes HD Tivo, Pioneer 533 DVD recdr, and Sony 300 disc CD jukebox) without having to put on my reading glasses to find a button (far-sighted).
