I'm interested in the iPronto's current combo of large customizable screen and reasonable price. I do not need or want the EPG and don't have home network of any type (come one, I'm an old guy who goes back to vacuum tube computers--learned Fortran to progran the IBM 650); I just want to control a simple home theater system with an HDTV, DirecTv HD Tivo, Surround sound AV receiver, and CD jukebox.
Can you disable the WiFi and EPG functions and sue it as an IR remote?
