Since a B on G router will slow down the G speed for all connected units, I figured I would just buy a used B WAP on eBay for this expressed purpose - thus it would not slow down the rest of the wifi network devices. Remember as well that the speed decreases with distance from the WAP.

I ended up buying a B WAP that now sits in the same room as the iPronto for $1.
