Right, if Sony can DELIVER them :-)
Well, it's a very sad story that the VHS vers BETAMAX vers VIDEO2000 (was very popoular here in Europe) disaster will happen again! I will not buy any of this alpha hardware until it's stable and good movies (in good quality) are on the market and we will see, which system will survive.
BTW: Philips' iPronto was an "alpha-release" too when they delivered it :-)
