Well thats an easy answer from someone else who owns both formats. Simply HD DVD is alot more consistant while blu ray is hit or miss. I would say out of all of the bluray titles to be released 10 actually look good and the rest are over compressed garbage IMO, while on the HD DVD side I would have to say maybe 10 look bad and the rest are awesome. If you haven't seen batman begins or chronicles of riddick on HD DVD you have no idea what you are missing.

Also batman begins has an excellent Dolby TruHD soundtrack that will give your system a workout.

While I still think Bluray may win in the long run if they get there act together, HD DVD is clearly the superior format at this time when it comes to quality content. Dont take my word for it! read any review on the internet regarding the 2 formats.
