sometimes the default buttops have a 0.1 delay when you use a template, just so they show up while "un-configured", a lot of programmers drop the template on the remote, learn all the codes, do an upload for the macros, set all the macros, and then download back to the remote, all while NOT removing the 0.1 delays on the buttons. Even with all the delays that the programmer can remove, your still stuck with an internal pause, that you cannot change.
