Update on this for anyone who cares! I just moved home, and in order to test a few things out, I disabled WEP on my router and set it up with MAC filtering. This seems to have cured my "sticking buttons" completely, and has also massively reduced the delay on first waking up the iPronto. I'm guessing the problem has to do with the handshaking process, but setting your network up with MAC filtering seems to fix it.
