Came to use my iPronto yesterday evening to find it had a flat battery. I had used it earlier in the afternoon for a bit of browsing and it had seemed fine.

It still works when connected to the mains but dies when disconnected. It's as if the battery is completely dead and unable to accept any charge whatsoever.

Is this how these batteries die? There have been no other symptoms i.e. longer charging times, shorter usage times etc. Could there be any other cause?

A quick google has only turned up one battery supplier in the UK: www.247av.com, who want £170 for an iPronto battery. The obvious source, Let's Automate, no longer have it listed on their site. Are there any other significantly cheaper suppliers in the UK?

John
