Well after some data crunching I determined that the NEO codes don't relate to anything?! Great plan by Philips...take a perfectly good (?) system (Pronto HEX) and then use an entirely different system on the little brother remote. NOW I know why so many people complain. I also got ProntoHEX codes for the VR-309, by downloading a file and the Prontoedit software, but when I tried to enter into NEO hacker it told me I couldn't because of a "double burst" something or other. So although I now know how calculate binary codes into DEC codes and much more than I ever wanted to know about IR signals, I STILL can't work my receiver! Well the idea of a cheap remote to learn from sounds good...but for $200 you'd think Philips would have included a few more brand codes.
