Do not feel discouraged, keep reading and trying new things to get the unit to read your remotes codes. I have nine components that the neo is controlling, of them only 5 had full remote functions with the supplied default code settings. All the others needed learning from oem remotes to the neo, with a little patients and some time it can be done.
If you cannot get yours to work try downloading Prontedit and take the codes from the many ccf files and enter into Neohacker as it will convert for you. I also found the neo would learn the remote if i held the oem remote button on continously and then hit the button i wished to learn on the neo. Then if it fails try again and then change the angle of the oem remote either on the table or even at a angle to the table vertically. Point the oem remote down at a angle towards the neo and then keep hitting the button you wish to learn when failed change the angle slightly. Eventually you will find the sweet spot where the neo will learn correctly.
If anyone thinks they are going to buy one of these lcd remotes and program the unit in a few hours for 6+ components you are crazy. Be prepaired to invest a few late nights in programming the unit fully and some long weekends if you wish to add lots of graphics and custom buttons or images. Some of the better layouts must have taken the owners many hours/days to produce, i have spent weeks on mine and countless hours doing custom buttons etc.
Hey it is a learning experience for all of us and any input we can give good or bad will help us all out in the long run. Do not get discouraged but enjoy your new toy!
