When I originally looked into the remotes, I thought I had to have the Philips 3000, but my parents suprised me with the Pronto Neo as an Xmas present.

It does everything I would ever want out of a remote.

The cheapo Neo will do 100% of what you have listed above - and the extra good new is that you can find them on eBay for about $100!!

One thing you need to know is that sometimes the remote is not the limitation of "mode selection"... for instance when you are on RGB1 watching a DVD and want to switch over to Svideo1 for the cable box, on your normal remotes you would hit "input" a few times... (most likely)... for the remote to do this flawlessly you need to discover if your plasma has "discrete mode", where you can send a IR command that literally is translated as RGB1 or Svideo1, this makes the mode switching much simpler.

The Pronto series can have any command (or string of commands) executed by any of the buttons on the remote. (I use the mute button for aspect ratio on my projector).. so for you this means that volume from any page can control the tuner and the channel up/down will always control the cable box.

I do also want to emphasize that programming the remote will take some time and commitment, it is not a pop out of the box and it will work kind of thing. These forums and your patience will allow you to have a remote that is exactly what you are looking for. I haven't had my remote hooked up to my computer in over 18 months!! Mine is where i want it...

Best of luck!!
