Teaching a single button macro using RAW mode with 2 learning remotes works very well. I have 2 harmony remotes (659 & 680). With one remote, I created a sequence of commands using the Start of activity macro feature. I then blasted this sequence to the other remote which learnt it as a single command. You must teach it in RAW mode. It will ask you to do it twice to confirm. It's this requirement that makes the manual method impractical. So far my longest sequence is 8 commands which last about 3 seconds. Another user managed a sequence of 11 commands using his old "glued together" learning remote to blast his new harmony 520.
