They just did it to piss you off.

I doubt that. Annoying yes, but pissed off? Not about a remote control no matter what they do.

And to try and use a learning remote as a buffer and then learn "macro" like commands back to the Logitech I looked at a Universal R5. That is one p.o.s. and I have never seen a product so misrepresented on its packaging and sales informaiton. It is so misrepresented I think they are close to breaking some consumer laws.
