How does the toggle work if you're coming from the HDMI
input? What buttons do you press on the OEM remote in
these scenarios:
From analog to HDMI and then back to analog TV/AV*/TV
From analog to HDMI and then back to digital TV/AV*/TV/TV
From analog to digital TV
* As I only use AV/HDMI it always goes to that otherwise I would have to scroll on the OEM, however my H555 has a discrete command for HDMI that works fine.
I assume it goes back to either analog or digital depending
on where you had it before. ...But, of course using Activities I dont remeber where it was, so at the moment I toggle with 50/50 chance
If so then you'll need to
set up the inputs as a toggle between digital and analog
so that it keeps track of where it is between those two.
The above is the bit I dont get. The H555 database gives me a custom TVMODE which toggles. Remember my Activities are based on I could come from one of 3 activities i.e. could be the same, the other TV mode or HDMI. So as I understand it the activities could get me out of sync, which is where I started from i.e. Press Help or the Activity again to reverse it.
The answers to the questions above will help you finish
the setup as far as which buttons you have to press and
how it behaves. Then you either add another clone device
for the HDMi input (with HDMI as the only input - discrete
method) or add the HDMI commands to the activity startup.
So I assume the based on the above that the switch to HDMI activity would use the Clone to switch and the 2 TV modes would use the toggle and if i sed the same activity consecutively the H555 would remeber?
