Yes, the proposed dual cycling method is not efficient because I assume you can't find a single cycling command like "InputNext" that would cycle through all the inputs allowing the Smart State to track it. I still don't know the model of your Sceptre TV (42 is not a model but a size). I also assume you tried all the commands in device mode.
