Ignoring the 11:37PM driven reply, GOTO:
[Link: logitech.com] and under Universal Remote find your 890 Remote.
You'll install an app on your computer that will allow communications with the Logitech server. You will need to create a free account, or better yet if your friend has an existing account ask for his user name and password.
You'll set up the software and then update your remote using a USB cable.
