Since i prefer to have everything hidden, I guess an IR extender would not be suitable for me as there'll still be a receiver sticking out.

Would probably rethink this setup - probably go for a solution from a single vendor to avoid any compatibility issues. Tsk... gotta sell my Marmitek now...
