Having recently purchased a Harmony 550 and also being a Dish Net VIP-722 user, I can tell you that if you've never used a Harmony product before there are a few things to consider. Most of your remotes main functions will do what you expect, the volume buttons will control the source for your amplification, however, there is an important button missing from the default setup - the DVR button. If you use this button to access your recordings and schedule, you'll definitely want to add this otherwise it will be cumbersome getting to your recordings.

Once you create the activity, carefully review all the button assignments to ensure you have all the controls for this activity that you want. You may need some additional TV or sound controls that aren't part of the default setup.

It may take a few times going back and fine tuning it, but I'm sure everyone will tell you this is normal. It's flexible so that's what makes it so great. It just doesn't know how each individual has their systems set up for their own enjoyment and uses.
