The One seems really solid to me, but not sure if anything would hold up to being dropped repeatedly on hardwood. I'm reasonably sure the 880 would be no better and probably worse. I'm using the One with my HR20 and it works fine. The color buttons are on the LCD. The 880 is no different in that regard.
