I use the TC30 with my SA 8300HD cablebox receiverwherein I have programed my favorite channels. I then remaped the "Menu" button on the TC30 to be the favorites button, as it was bringing up the SA's channel guide, a duplication of the Giude button on the TC30 in this instance.

This works well for me as 98% of my most used "TV activity" buttons are within the 6 hard buttons bellow the LCD.

I know in time I will get deeper into refining the order of how the LCD buttons appear, etc. But I am a happy camper with this remote.
