Well, it seems I have answered my own question with a quick (well, not so quick as it turned out) search of the forum here. For anyone that might be interested out there here is what I found and how I have implemented it.

Someone pointed out that if you change channels on the TV it will return to the ANT input. From there I can automatically select the "Select Input" button to get to input 2 or again for input 3. I had to put a .3s delay in between the power up and another .3s delay in between a second or third input signal.
