Please forgive this if it is a FAQ:

I just received my new MX500. I understand that I need another remote that I can enter discrete codes into in order to learn these with the MX500. What would be the cheapest remote that I could do this with, available locally? (Radio Shack, Fry's, Best Buy, Circuit City)

Also, can someone send me a link "for dummies" that explains how to program these codes?

Finally, I understand that some of the device codes in the MX500 contain discrete codes. How will I be able to use these in a macro if they are not prgrammed to any buttons?

If there is just a newbie FAQ link y'all can send me to, that'd be fine too.
