Derek,

It's Panasonic protocol device 176 (DVD_0490) command 139

What does it do? It is not on any list of commands that I have.

To answer your question about how to decode Pronto hex itself:

It is either paste the command into Pronto edit and save as a ccf file. Then ccf2efc must know that protocol to decode it. If not you would have to decode it manually to get an EFC. To decode manually you could follow the following steps:

1. Read Barry Gordon's article on how to decode pronto hex.

2. Download Barry Gordon's program GenIRDB and read its documentation on IR protocols. Download John Fine's MakeHex (it has the protocols definitions that his program ccf2efc decodes) -- It also helps to know

3. Study the library that comes with GenIRDB and the Panasonic protocol file.

4. Decode the file (knowing the protocol -- easier; not knowing the protocol with only one command --very hard to impossible)

5. Go the the www.hifi-remote.com and read about OBC to EFC conversions. Join and read the read me files at JP1 and anthing else there. Download devices.xls that has a cross reference between Protocol/Device combinations and OFA Setup codes.

To say the least, for a few commands manual decoding is a lot of work but in some cases there may be no alternative.
