The only other experience that I have had with this protocol (Panasonic AE-100 projector) was that the equipment didn't respond to discrete commands.
I just looked back to that discussion in the JP1 group and this may help from Alain screen name "tuquoquefili" who had the AE-100.
"It seems that the device is a bit different. For example power signal sent twice equals discrete power-off and sent once equals discrete power-on."
I believe that Alain had searched all 256 commands in 128.72.
Hopefully the sent once/sent twice macro may work for you as well. I hadn't remembered this part just the 56-bit protocol.
