Truly strange. If it will help I can email you the spreadsheet that is HV4U.xls so you can forward it to their customer support with what works and what doesn't. It may well be the easiest way to communicate they can correct it and tell you the right commands.

I am beginning to wonder if it is a firmware issue. For example, Toshiba apparently forgot to program in the discrete power commands on some recent HD RPTV's -- and sent out new chips to fix it.

It is possible but not likely, that somehow the framing is off and it is not interpreting the command correctly, but it is too much of a coincidence that all the input commands are missing.

Maybe John Fine who ususally monitors this board has some better idea.
