hi, I have this product in addition to my pronto, it's used to capture ir directly into the laptop together with Speakercrafts EZtools software. It's very easy to use and gives a breakdown of the ir code, ie: format, duration etc. You can use it to blast ir out from an extensive library as well as add to that library, you can even interrogate the learned codes and modify them in order to find discretes.
