Thought I'd throw this out here...

It seems that more and more often (especially today and yesterday) posts are cropping up that are like "how do I use my TV remote to control my DVD player", "Panasonic Codes for RCA Remote", etc.

A discrete code is an advanced code that performs one function that is not used as a toggle. It is one IR code, and meant to be used by advanced universal remotes, like URC, Pronto, RTI, etc. These are computer programmable remotes - not the one that you enter a three digit code into.

If you're looking for such codes, you may want to try another forum on this site that is appropriate for your remote, such as the Other Remote Controls Forum.
