I would have guessed that Onkyo was well enough covered in RC forums that a search would have found your answers already posted. But I didn't actually do that search to find out.
Or do you have some sort of process for gleaning this
information directly from the remote? Perhaps a peice
of hardware that can display the hex code of a remote
command upon receiving the signal?
Yes, I have one of those. See the CaptureIR thread at hifi-remote.
But, I didn't get the idea these commands were on the Onkyo remote. So CaptureIR wouldn't be enough, though it could help.
