I see the codes in that thread but you are saying it's a non-discrete power on so does that mean it's a power toggle?

Also, what does changing the standby mode actually do?

Unless I'm mistaken it seems like you are just learning the power toggle command from the original remote (which is not really the same as a discrete on...)
